Lost Glove Web Sites
Other web sites I've found with gloves on.
National Mitten Registry
Fabulous. Nuff said.
Funkypancake
A man called Dave who has taken lots of very nice 'in situ' pictures. Don't think there is any research or artistic scheme behind it, but by the number of gloves photographed, he is certainly dedicated to recording glove loss. He operates from London, but has contributors from Nottingham.
Lost Glove Gallery
A lost glove photographer based in the Hague (Netherlands). Accepts sumbissions from others, and notes time and place, but doesn't pick them up.
Mad Times: Lost Gloves
A lost glove photographer in the USA, with a site similar to mine, but I don't think he picks them up. A good map of glove sighting locations.
Mangetout's lost gloves
Another fellow glove-spotter
Lost Glove Museum
Another angle on the lostglove theme. This site features a collection of lost gloves with an accompanying narrative: a tale of lost love, illustrated with lost glove. Sadly, there is no contact for this glove collector. If enough people link to his site from here, he might spot us! UK based too I believe.
Alexandra Horowitz
A cognitive scientist who had a very similar idea to mine. She's collected the gloves, but I don't think she made a website.
Alexandra's Exhibition
This is what Alexandra Horowitz did with her gloves at the end of her project. Looks fab.
Porter Square T Stop
Some lost gloves in public art
The OneGlove World Gloving Collective
Promising manifesto, but not much on their site as yet. I have sent an email to the Collective and will update on further activity as and when.
Karina Bergmans
This project is brilliant. Almost exactly the same as my ideas, but followed through to completion with installation art. It\'s actually uncanny how similar the recording style is. I think I need to meet this woman.
Ruth Thomas
An artist who has picked up lost items including gloves and made prints from them.
